Mr Darwin's Birds
- a story of discovery and adaptation-
Written by AJ Binney and Andrew Plant.
Illustrated by Andrew Plant.
Pico and Susanah, two far flying finches from South America,
encounter the distant islands of the Galapagos!
What strange and fascinating new animals will they meet there?
What changes will Pico and Susanah have to make to adapt to their new home?
And, most importantly, will they find their favourite kind of food?
An educational children’s book that explores the concept of evolution and natural selection using the story of Darwin’s finches arrival on the Galapagos Islands.
Mr Darwin’s Birds uses simple, easy to understand examples of the different finch beaks and how well they match the food that they eat, to illustrate one of the most important scientific theories of the past two hundred years.
